My dad was a severe Hemophiliac, which means less than 1% of his blood clotted. This means that he experienced excessive bleeding from minor cuts, deep and large bruises from simple bumps, internal bleeding that required hospitalizations, and spontaneous bleeding which damaged his joints. I share this on my page because he was a "miracle" who was not supposed to live past his 10th birthday, but instead he lived until he was 50. At the end of his life, he agreed to experimental treatment in the hope of helping others. My dad was never defined by his illness, but instead was always positive and shared his outlook on life with me. So, I am walking and I as I am walking, I will be remembering my dad by sharing stories with my family so that his memory will continue to live on through his grandchildren.
