Each year, I campaign for donations for the SPCA in Lakeland and the Lakeland Fire Department. In conjunction with the Lakeland Fire Department, the SPCA puts together calendars each year featuring the pups that they have helped to be adopted out. The SPCA receives funds to continue to do great work adopting out dogs and cats and The Lakeland Fire department receives funds to equipt their fire trucks with lifesaving devices for dogs and cats that have been pulled from a fire. By voting for Blue, who was rescued from the SPCA in Lakeland, you can help her to be featured in their calendar and to raise money for two amazing causes. Thank you in advance and VOTE FOR BLUE!!
Blue really did rescue me. After putting my beloved dog of 10 years to sleep 3 months prior, I had been searching for another pup to give a great home and love with all of my heart. I had looked and played with a few pups that day, but did not find a good fit, then on my way out, I stopped and said to my husband, "Look here at this girl, her name is Blue". I asked for a visit with her and then watched as she played in the play group and just knew that she would be a perfect fit for our family. We took her home and little did I know how much she would make each day brighter. She has so much energy and true happiness in her. She makes me laugh and is just the sweetest girl you will meet. I especially love that she is a black dog, because are often looked over for the "prettier dogs". She loves to play, loves the water, loves a good boat ride and is a true companion. She deserves to be a calendar star because she is just that "A bright and shiny STAR" and she will make those awesome firefighters look even better, haha, and she appreciates all that they do in the community everyday. We are grateful! for your service!
