I'm thrilled to be supporting the Lighthouse's Orientation & Mobility Program this summer! O&M is the practice of navigating your surrounding environment, and for people who are blind and DeafBlind, O&M training is a critical resource that can be life-changing. 

Please help me reach my goal of $500 for this campaign - the $ raised will go directly back to the O&M team, and provide much needed funding for equipment like white canes for new employees, welcome kits that include stuff like high-vis outer wear, and most crucially - more training time for our employees who need it the most. 

On average it takes about 14 hours of training and roughly 10 sessions of training per employee, with those numbers of course fluctuating as our instructors work with each employee carefully to provide a fully customized training to meet their needs. 

If I hit my goal of $500, it will cover the cost of over three individual sessions for Lighthouse employees. These dedicated training sessions are vital to employees success in the workplace, but also in life - our trainers work with employees to establish routes to transit centers, and other key locations like grocery stores, post offices, etc.
