Hi! My name is Melissa and my dog Zoey and I are here to help raise money for the Capital Humane Society. I absolutely love animals and have done my best to help them any way I can all my life. If I could rescue every single dog and cat in America I would. I keep hoping I’ll win the lottery so I can make a difference to thousands of animals in America one day. I know, it’s a silly dream! 

Anyway, my best friend and partner in this walk is Zoey! She’s a 4 year old Beagle/Border Collie mix. I rescued her when she was just 5 weeks old. She is everything to me and I couldn’t imagine life without her right now. She enjoys walks, belly rubs, peanut butter, and eating anything and everything I’m eating. She loves making new human and doggie friends. Her and I have rescued animals together numerous times! 

I hope to make my goal and if not, anything I make goes to help so I’ll be thankful for anything I can contribute. Zoey and I are going to have fun anyway.
