1-Mile Indoor Walk for Epilepsy

This year's theme is Epilepsy Heroes, so we invite you to come dressed as a superhero! Whether you like Marvel, DC, or want to make your own alter ego, we need your powers to help fight the stigma!

Registration: Online registration is now open! Adult Registration $35 (18+), Child Registration $25 (4-17 years old), Kids 3 and under are free (but must be registered). 

Online registration closes at Noon on Friday, Jan. 23. Want to bring someone who hasn't registered yet? Day of registration will also be available Saturday morning for $40/adults and $30/child. 

Donations: If you have any checks or cash donated to you (or your team), please make sure you bring those donations to the Walk so we can add them to your running total. These donations can be turned in to our volunteers at Walker Check-in. Thank you for participating, raising money and awareness for epilepsy! We look forward to seeing you Saturday!

 

Schedule of Events:
7:30- 8:30 a.m. Walker Check-In/ Day of Registration (vendor tables, entertainment and refreshments)

7:30 a.m. Doors open                                 

8:45 a.m. Opening ceremony and presentation of Feature Family

9:00 a.m. 1-Mile Walk begins

9:30 a.m. Raffle closes 

9:45 a.m. Closing ceremony & prize raffle winners announced

10:00 a.m. Event concludes

Event Activities: We will have tons of great entertainment to keep you energized throughout the morning along with activities, giveaways, raffle baskets, and more!


Prize Raffle: Don't forget to bring extra cash for our Prize Raffle that is filled with items for all ages! We will be selling raffle tickets (11 for $15 or 26 for $25).These tickets can be purchased at the raffle table all morning!


Why Walk?: 1 in 10 Americans have had or will have a seizure at some point in their lives and 3 million Americans have some form of epilepsy. That's more than Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy and Parkinson's disease combined! And almost 500 new cases of epilepsy are diagnosed every day in the United States.

 

 

Participating in the 2026 Winter Walk is a great way to show support for individuals with epilepsy while raising funds for our vital programming and services for individuals with epilepsy in Northeast Ohio. The Walk raises critical funds for the Epilepsy Association and its clients. All funds raised goes directly to support program and services we offer to those in our local community. We need you to help us reach our goal of $60,000!
