North Shore Packathon 2021 is organized by Future Forward for Haiti, a registered 501c3 non-profit, with no paid employees, so over 95% of your gift will go to help in Haiti. • Only 60% of Haitian adults can read at a 6th grade level.
• Their government does not provide schools to rural communities.
• The average income is $350 per year.
• Some children cannot count of even one meal a day.

Here's our plan:

Team Chmura, including Grace, Greg, Ben, Hannah and Nathaniel are going to the North Shore Packathon for Haiti on October 20,21,22 to help pack lunches for school children there. We plan to provide a full-year lunch program for more than 200 children in the Light and Peace School of St. Louis d'Ayiti, way out in the remote mountaints of Haiti.  Packathon volunteers will form assembly lines in the Parish Hall and courtyard at Christ Church of Hamilton and Wenham to pack over 100,000 meals for them. 

We want to make sure those Haitian kids can count on lunch every weekday next school year, beginning January 1, 2023

On average, every volunteer packs a box of 240 lunches. "Our " box will hold $72 dollars worth of rice, beans, vegetables and vitamins, enough to feed one student for a year. So our goal is to raise over $1,000 to feed the entire 5th grade for a year.
