Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation creates opportunities to build self-esteem and empower children and youth in foster care by funding services to enrich their life experiences and ensure their successful transition to adulthood.

As a non-profit organization since 1983, AFFCF is dedicated to giving foster children the opportunity for “normal” childhoods and prepare them for successful adulthoods through programming and scholarships. To date, the AFFCF has made more than 70,000 awards totaling more than $13 million to children in foster care in Arizona. These funds help:

  • Andrea, 14, to attend a sports camp, where she not only learned to play new sports, but also made a new friend
  • Alaina, 6, to get a bicycle of her very own that she picked out herself
  • Roman, 18, to get the items (towels, appliances, dishes, etc.) he needs for his first apartment
  • Ethan, 19, to pay for college, something he didn't think was possible because of being in foster care

We have a little saying at win, we win! When you donate to our organization, you win a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit under the Arizona Foster Care Tax Credit. We win when young people like Andrea, Alaina, Roman and Ethan get to have the experiences like every other kid. It's a win-win!

The maximum amount allowed is up to $500 for individual filers and up to $1,000 for joint filers. Please consult your tax professional for complete details on the Arizona Foster Care Tax Credit. AFFCF’s tax ID is 86-0468850 and our Qualifying Foster Care Organization ID is 10023.
