8 years ago I conned Tamika Catchings into a photoshoot on bitter cold morning at the Riverside park basketball court. 8 months later, one of the photos from that shoot won a gold medal at the National Art Museum of Sport and Tamika earned the 2011 WNBA MVP.
All the while, Tamika kept telling me about all the things that she wanted to do with her Catch the Stars Foundation and how I could help--both the foundation and the community--and I was eager to do whatever I could.
Ever since that shoot, Tamika’s drive and passion has happily led me to doing ever more for the Catch the Stars Foundation. The opportunities have been endless and seeing the impact that Tamika and the CTSF makes on the kids in our community at every event is truly remarkable. It is very rewarding to be a tiny part of what CTSF does for Indianapolis. You can be a part of this too.
Catch the Stars has exciting programs that run from January thru December. From College Scholarships to Basketball Camps to Back to School Backpack giveaways, Tamika always reminds us it is all about one thing – IMPACT! We have impacted and helped thousands of youth through the foundations programs that focus on Literacy, Fitness, and Youth Development. With your help we can continue doing this.
