As you know in 2018 I was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a rare blood cancer. After a year and a half of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, I survived without any long-term side effects. Fortunately, all of this is behind me.
However, in order to honor those patients who weren’t as lucky and to help those who are currently battling this cancer, I joined the MDS Foundation (MDSF) several years ago. The MDSF conducts innovative research and provides great support to patients and families.
The MDS Foundation is holding a 5K walk/run on Chicago’s beautiful lake front on Sunday, August 25. Peggy and I would love to have you join our “Jim Possible” team. If you are unable to attend, please consider donating to this worthy cause.
