Please join me in honoring my mother, Karla Mejia-Sanchez, who passed away on July 18th, 2024, from MDS. 

She was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in 2021, followed by Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) and Acute Myeloid Leukemia in 2023. Through her cancer journey, she taught those around her what it looks like to live life selflessly, with bravery, and always leading with kindness. She was not only a hero to me, but to many others as well. 

She was survived by her children,  Myself(25)  Alexa (19), Candy (17); by her son David (9); and by her husband Jose (48). She will forever be a bright guiding light to her family and loved ones.
