I'm a mom of four who left my corporate career in downtown Denver two years ago to join a fundraising organization that connects donors to the important work of many ministries.

My eyes have been opened to the growing number of women in need of hope -- beginning with a hot meal and a place to rest.  Their stories are as unique as they are, but there are common threads:  domestic violence, high rents, job loss, medical emergencies, no safety net.  The reality is that homelessness is something that happens every day to someone's former classmate or friend, an estranged daughter, a sister, a mother.
