Hi and thanks for visiting...

My daughter, Annalyse, is currently a first grader at Gayton Elementary and my husband, 'Mr. D', teaches art at Pocahontas Middle School in Short Pump. I've had the opportunity to witness the impact Anna's teachers have had over the last two years on her growth. I've watched with pride as she's learned to read and write. I'm so grateful for the opportunities, guidance, compassion and creativity these teachers provide Annalyse on a daily basis.  

I've also had the great pleasure to see the impact my husband has on his students and vice versa!  He inspires his students, and he inspires me.  I think our educators should be recognized and applauded. I think all children should be afforded the same opportunities to learn and grow; to navigate their path to their own American Dream.

This is not only the mission of JA, it’s a movement—a movement to ensure our children are better off than the generations who came before them; to inspire every kid, no matter where they came from, to figure out where they are going.
