In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, please join us in giving back.
Friends of Consuelo Shank are warmly invited to come together for a heartfelt Friendsgiving celebration in support of the Room of Magic refresh. This is a special space where kids can simply be kids. No treatments take place here. Patients who need a moment of normalcy during their hospital stay will be able to watch movies, play games, and attend special events and celebrations.
Updates include:
Brighter, more welcoming design
Creating a flexible space: movie nights, birthdays, music therapy, & celebrations
Lakeshore theme: calming, local, and child-friendly
Easily disinfected materials, durable finishes
Updated technology: new projector, speakers, and screen
Originally designed for movie nights, the current Room of Magic is dark. Bronson Children's Hospital is unable to use for events or celebrations such as Santa visits or birthday celebrations. Outdated technology has put a stop to movie nights.
The Lakeshore theme is tranquil, natural, and inspired by South Haven. Aimed to balance fun and function: an uplifting environment that’s also easy to clean and maintain. Here is a mock up of the mural along each wall of the room.
