Hello, my name is Kent Phillips.  I am a Freshman this year at Grace Christian School.  At school, I enjoy advancing in my mathematical understanding as well as learning various other different subjects. Aside from academic activities, I also like to play the trumpet, be on the soccer team, and participate in Brainbowl (trivia). After graduating, I plan to study enginering or mathematics. I love the teachers at Grace Christian School, and would say that our school is amazing for student-teacher interaction. However, as a growing school, we are running out of space for our classrooms and activities. For example, our Algebra II room had no desks (just tiny tables) and a tiny whiteboard. So, I am excited that we will be building the Robert R. Gustafson Center to increase space for both academic and extracurricular activities.

I am asking all my friends and family to support me for my school's annual Sports-A-Thon Fundraiser Challenge.  The GCS Sports A Thon Fundraising Challenge is tons of fun for us students.  The proceeds go to support the mission of Grace Christian School which includes the future construction of the Robert R. Gustafson Center.

This center will be home to a new gymnasium, 12 classrooms, two lecture auditoriums, locker rooms, concessions, and administrative offices. As you can imagine, we are excited about seeing what the Lord has in store for our ministry with the construction of the Gustafson Center, and are humbly asking you to be a part of it.

I love my school and am excited to a part of this year's fundraiser to help more students JUST LIKE ME attend this great Christian school.  Here are me and my team’s goals:

• I have a $ 400 goal!  If I can accomplish my goal, I will be rewarded with a free trip to Sea World. 
• My Class has a $ 12,400 goal!  If we can accomplish our goal, we will all be rewarded with A DAY OFF from school.
• The Class that raises the most money will have a special plaque honoring them in the new Robert R. Gustafson Center.
