It’s that time again! Time to help out the Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. This will be our 5th year walking and we are asking for your help today. To come together and help all the young men and woman who have had the fortune to use the care facilities at the Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. Whether you decide to walk with us on the day of the event and or donate to help our team and this cause, we THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.
WHY ARE WE TEAM PICKLES?
Team pickles came from a young girl who has a love for pickles and in which her 3rd grade class, at the time, definitely knew it. They knew Leah loved pickles so much that when it came time for her first open heart surgery they all surprised her with having personalized “I LOVE PICKLES” t-shirts to support her during her journey of heart surgery. When we decided to start walking for this cause we decided that this had to be our name, “TEAM PICKLES” it’s where is all began, from the love of children showing their support to a very special young woman who we all love so much. On the day of this event, we stand there supporting Leah, who is so strong, loving, caring, funny and a beautiful 15-year-old girl. Leah has had 2 past open heart surgeries that have been both successful in their own ways. Because of those, Leah is doing great at this time. She continues to have regular checkups which help us look optimistic for a bright future for Leah. We walk for her and we are asking for you to be a part of this journey too in helping the Minneapolis Children’s Hospital.

If it wasn't for Minneapolis Children's Doctors, nurses, and cardiac floor we don't know where we would be today and for that we are eternally thankful. So PLEASE help us come together and support this amazing cause by being a part of this big day, walking with us and or donating. Remember you are not only helping our family but also for the many others and their families who go through this on a daily basis.

Shannon has gone through two double valve replacement heart surgeries at Abbot Hospital and again two years ago at Mayo. She has been such a strong, positive person throughout this whole process. We are thankful that her heart is pumping better than ever!
