Why I Plunge

On Sunday, March 1, 2026, I’ll be jumping into Lake Michigan for the Polar Plunge® Chicago in support of Special Olympics Illinois and Special Children’s Charities. Yes — it will be cold. But the impact behind it is so much bigger than the momentary shock of the water.

This plunge is about supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and helping provide year-round opportunities for confidence, inclusion, and achievement through sports and community programming. Every dollar raised helps create spaces where athletes are celebrated for their abilities, their determination, and who they are — not their limitations.

If you’d like to support this cause, there are a few easy ways to get involved:

  • Donate to my fundraising page — any amount truly makes a difference

  • Join my team and take the plunge with me at North Avenue Beach on March 1

  • Share this page with friends or family who may want to support or cheer us on

Thank you for helping turn a freezing leap into something meaningful. Your support directly impacts lives, and I’m incredibly grateful to have you behind this cause.
