Welcome to the Team Sparkle Virtual 5K Fundraising Pages. We appreciate that you have chosen to fundraise for a child with Rett Syndrome! Rett Syndrome is a debilitating neurological disorder that primarily affect girls. They lose their acquired skills between 1 – 3 years of age and most cannot speak, walk or use their hands. It is caused by a single gene mutation that leads to the underproduction of an important brain protein. Every 90 minutes another child is diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. We are hopeful as It is potentially reversable through reintroduction of the underproduced protein. BUT these children are Smart, Strong, Loved and Inspiring! Each day they fight and along side of them we fight to help find a CURE!

By fundraising, Girl Power 2 Cure will continue to execute our multi-channel mission which includes:

• Providing resources and support to families struggling to care for a child with Rett Syndrome
• Funding the increasingly successful research which seeks new treatments and potential cures for Rett Syndrome
• Growing our curriculum and awareness outreach to education professionals, therapists, and school/community groups across the country

Together we can do this…for THEM!
