I believe the Whetstone mission is a worthy one. Whetstone's mission statement is to, “sharpen the character of young men by modeling the life of Christ, mentoring them through authentic relationships, imparting the love of creation and teaching the joy of work, thus equipping them to be servant-leaders in their families and communities.”  I first heard of Whetstone through co-founder Nathan Dalhstrom. Nathan and I met when he hired me to work for a boy's ranch on Long Island, NY. Through Nathan, I met the other founders. In my relationship with these men I have seen them and their families pray and work hard to make Whetstone a reality. Now many of my friends work for Whetstone.
