Steps Toward a Cure: Lower Gwynedd Township is a family-friendly event that includes a 1 mile walk, refreshments and kids activities.
All funds raised at this event will go towards research in our fight for a cure!

SCHEDULE:
9:30 am - 10:00 am: Registration & Packet Pickup
10:00 - 10:30 am: Walk to raise awareness
10:30 am - 11:30 am: Refreshments, Crafts, Face Painting, DJ Dance Party,
and a special visit from SWOOP & the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders
11:30 am: Raffle Drawing
 
 
 
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
Adult Walkers: $30
Kids (3-17): $20
*individuals with Dravet Syndrome or Epilepsy can register for free with a paying adult
 
 

Parking:

Please park in the Lower Gwynedd Elementary School lot or the WSD Administrative Building lot (both highlighted in orange).
WHS Homecoming activities will begin in the upper parking lot at 11:30am, so please avoid parking in that area. 
 

Walk Route:

Exit the LGE Gym and turn right. Veer left around the bus loop. Turn right onto Houston Road and stay on the sidewalk, do not cross the street. Follow the sidewalk to turn right onto Knight Road. Continue past the second driveway of the administration building and turn right on the paved path. Follow the paved path until you reach the WSD Fields sign and turn right down the vehicle ramp. Continue along the wooden fence. For an extra challenge (and to complete a full mile) follow the fence to the top of the parking lot, loop around the lot and back down toward the playground. Otherwise, shorten your walk by cutting across to the path beside the playground. When you reach Houston Road, turn left toward the LGE gym where you began! Well done!

  • Kids and strollers are welcome to attend.
  • Service dogs ONLY will be allowed in the school building for registration.
  • Register before September 4th to guarantee an event shirt.
  • The last day to register online is October 3rd.

This year we are introducing our brand new butterfly garden signs! These beautiful yard signs will bring color and life to your garden while also raising awareness for Dravet syndrome. 

Every Dravet family that registers for the event will receive one for FREE! If you would like to purchase a DSF garden sign, there will be a limited quantity available for sale at the event for $20 each.
