She's been fighting since she first came into this world. She fought to breathe, swallow, eat, move, and communicate. She's done it with grace and a killer smile. It's who she is.

It's not who I was, but it's who I'm becoming. I've fought to stay strong and see humor in the little things. I've fought to hide hard moments and choose who I let see my pain and fear.    

As I've fought, I've changed. There's not as much pain and fear as there once was. There's more laughter, and hope. This crazy life has become our awesome normal. Greta and Owen fill our house with the sounds of childhood. They have each others backs and pick on each other. They make us laugh, cry, swear and question our sanity. They are our world and our future.

I run to get further from the past and closer to the future. I run to be healthy for my kids and honor their fight for life. I run because I am proud of where we've been and where we are going. 

Please support me in raising money for the hospital that saved Greta's life and made sure Owen's got off to a healthy start.

The money I raise will go directly to the NICU at Children's Hospital to support sick babies and their families. I pray that more and more families have outcomes like ours and remember families who are waiting to reunite with their angels.
