Why Children's? Why Now?

For those of you that don't know me well, my history of running underprepared and fundraising somewhat haphazardly go WAY back.  Initially, I had an inspiration (my apologies Aunt Laura) and a half-cooked idea to walk the Susan G. Komen Foundation Breast Cancer 3-day in California.  Later, my best girlfriend and I undertook the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Country Music Half Marathon.  There must be something about endorphins because later this took me to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Rock N' Roll Marathon in Phoenix, AZ and the American Cancer Society's Chicago Marathon team.  

Fast forward from 2011 to 2016 and I now have 2 adorable children and work for an amazing organization.  This past year, we have challenged ourselves to channel our inner super hero to treat The Most Amazing People on Earth.  I am proud to be a Children's Champion and hope that you too are willing to join me to support this important work.
