Our rockstar Rocco is turning 2! The care we recieved at Children's Hospital's and Clinics before Rocco's birth, during his 97 days in the NICU and 7 surgeries was incredible! Not to mention the follow up care that has provided us with the resources and tools to encourage his development and growth! He is thriving!

Families never ask to go through something like this. Long hospital stays and multiple surgeries can be very trying. Families are living hour to hour just trying to get to the next day. Some not even knowing if that day will come.

The Child Life Program, which includes music therapy, at the hospital is full of inspirational individuals who help make the hospital a comforting place to be for their patients, siblings, and families. Music therapy in particular gave us the opportunity to interact, sing, and play with Rocco when he was hospitalized. When he was so sick, it was hard to know what we could do. In a stressful environment, it allowed us to forget and be in the moment with him. It brought happiness and calm to our room, and he loved it. He still loves to see, hear, and touch a guitar every time he sees one! Once again, our fundraising efforts will be given directly to this program.
