We have been so fortunate in our lives to have received great care when we needed it and now it’s time for us to pay it forward. We are thrilled to join Team Superstars and run the TC 10 mile to raise money for the most AMAZING people on earth—the kids.

I am privileged to work and have a front row seat to the incredible work that is done at Children’s Minnesota every day. We serve patients and families at their most vulnerable with hopes of helping them live healthy, happy and fulfilled lives. With this in mind, we have chosen to allocate our fundraising dollars to Charity Care. At Children’s, no family is turned away regardless of ability to pay. And every child receives the same level of care, whether his/her family has insurance or not. That’s critical when 42 percent of our families rely on medical assistance and 2.5 percent are self insured or have no insurance. Our Charity Care program offsets the medical expenses of families in need. In 2015, Children’s spent $3.8 million to reduce the financial burden of medical expenses on families. Philanthropy helps make this program possible. It is our mission to play a part in relieving financial hardship for our families so they can focus on the care and health of their little ones.
