Carter was diagnosed at 4 months old with a rare clotting disorder :Hemophilia B severe . A factor IX defiecency (protein missing in the blood to clot). With the help of our HTC and The Hemophilia Foundation of Greater Florida we were able to provide him with the support and supplies he needed. The HFGF provides the opportunity for us to connect with families in the Hemophilia community which has been beneficial for us as it was all very new . They hold events that are educational and fun. Being a part of this is not just about raising money for us it's about raising awareness and giving hope back into the community with so many families like mine dealing with a blood disorder.
