Like many of us, I cherish my free time. For the past two years, I've felt really good giving my time and energy to WE ACT, an environmental justice nonprofit based in Harlem fighting for healthy communities in Northern Manhattan and across the city and state. I currently sit on the Advisory Board and help with communications, programming, and fundraising.

WE ACT has been doing incredible work - a few of many examples include:

• shaping and advocating for policies that will decarbonize and electrify public housing
• introducing climate curriculum into K-12 education
• keeping the Biden Administration accountable for their climate justice objectives and pledges
• helping marginalized and communities of color prepare for extreme weather events like flooding and heat

I hope you'll consider joining my team by registering to run, walk, or DONATE!  If you choose to run/walk, you can do so in person on May 1st at Randall's Island Park (I'll be there!) or virtually, wherever/whenever. It's super flexible.
