I've been honored to serve on the WE ACT Board since last fall.
WE ACT does increible work at the local, state, and national level to combat environmental racism, including:
- keeping the Biden Administration accountable to their climate justice objectives and pledges
- helping marginalized and communities of color prepare for extreme weather events like flooding and heat
- shaping and advocating for policies that will provide cheap + clean renewable energy to public housing
WE ACT is holding its first in-person 5K on May 1 on Randall's Island in NYC, with options to participate virtually. Please consider joining my team or donating--you can run with Delphine, Maceo, Caleb and me on May 1, or complete the 5K virtually (running or walking!) any time before May 1. We're calling ourselves Team Delphine in honor of D's first race, which will no doubt include a little bit of running, a lot of walking, some piggyback rides, a few tears, and at least one bribe of ice cream to finish the course.
My goal is to raise $2,000 by May 1. A little goes a long way--whatever you have to give would mean a lot.
