One of my favorite memories as a kid was volunteering at my local Ronald House. I will never forget my first day walking in the door. I was nervous about trying to help these families who were dealing with so much pain and stress, and assumed it would be a negative atmosphere. I could not have been more wrong! The Ronald House felt as though I were in a comfortable home full of positive people. The environment and the people staying there were so pleasant and happy that I was completely unaware of the battles these families were going through. The staff, volunteers, and the house itself take an incredible amount of burden of the families which allows them to get through such difficult times with much more ease. RMHC helps families physically, economically, and emotionally during their healthcare journey. It is one of the most impactful charities I know and deserves as much support as possible.
