Join Me In Providing MH360 Students With the Resources They Need to Succeed!
Dear Friends -
Yes, I am asking you to join in and financially support Mile High 360. I have worked as MH360's Exeuctuve Director for 13 years and this is likely the 13th time that I have asked you to join me. The first year I asked, 2011, MH360 had an annual budget of about $167,000; we raised $42,000 with the 360 Summit Challenge that year. Thirteen years later Mile High 360 has an annual budget of $1.64mil and we are working to raise $330,000.
Thanks to you, Mile High 360 has come so far in 13 years. It isn't just that our budget is larger; it is that we are working with so many more students and their families. We are engaging our members in a multitude of ways that we were not before (e.g., human development programming, nutrition classes, mental health support, networking events, and the list goes on). Mile High 360 has become an educational support community for prospective first generation college graduates and their families; it is really quite amazing.
As we know, access to quality educational resources - from school to enrichment resources - is neither universally accessible nor equitably distributed.
The path from middle school to career and life success is filled with challenges for every student, but particularly those with the fewest resources.
This is where Mile High 360 steps in.
Mile High 360 is a comprehensive, wrap-around services program designed to provide first-generation college bound students with after-school, weekend and summer access to essential out-of-school resources in four core areas.
- Academic Assistance: Study skills support, tutoring, literacy enrichment, SAT prep, college visits, college application support, FAFSA & financial scholarships, academic advising;
- Health & Wellness Programs: Mental health support, drug and alcohol prevention, human development classes, cycling coaching, nutritional instruction, and cooking classes;
- Life Skills Experiences: Community service, summer travel, a speaker series, financial health classes, internships, resume building and building social capital, and job support;
- Mentoring: Trained volunteer mentors are paired with students to help normalize postsecondary enrollment, set goals, and increase students' social capital.
Mile High 360 programming complements school-based learning by mobilizing and organizing essential out-of-school resources and opportunities to address a child’s social, emotional, and academic needs.
Please join me in supporting Mile High 360 Students! 100% of your contribution will be used to provide resources students need to be successful in school and beyond!
Thanks!
Eric

It's A Family Thing
Carlo and Nasly, twin 10th graders, joined Mile High 360 as 6th graders. Their sister, Cinthia, now a senior at MSU, joined when she was in 7th grade. They have traveled the country through our partnerships and have big plans for the future. Besides school, all three work at the family's gym.
