I have been supporting Mile High 360 (MH360) for years - fundraising, participating in events, serving on the Associate Board, and coaching. Actually, I have been involved with Mile High 360 since I was a junior in high school. I am so involved with MH360 because we delivers on our mission and are providing unparalleled support for our students and their families.
As we know, access to quality educational resources - from school to enrichment resources - is neither universally accessible nor equitably distributed.
The path from middle school to career and life success is filled with challenges for every student, but particularly those with the fewest resources or who've been historically underserved.
THIS IS WHERE MH360 STEPS IN:
Mile High 360 is a comprehensive, wrap-around services program designed to provide first-generation college bound students with after-school, weekend and summer access to essential out-of-school resources in four core areas.
- Academic Assistance: Study skills support, tutoring, literacy enrichment, SAT prep, college visits, application and FAFSA support, and an array of college support services;
- Health & Wellness Programs: Mental health support, drug and alcohol prevention, human development classes, cycling coaching, and nutritional instruction; and
- Life Skills Experiences: Community service, a mentor program, summer travel, a speaker series, financial health classes, internships, resume building, and job support.
- Mentoring: Building youth-adult relationships to expand our understanding of what is possible.
MH360's programming complements school-based learning by mobilizing and organizing essential out-of-school-time resources to address a child’s social, emotional, and academic needs.
