Join Me In Providing Students With the Resources They Need to Succeed!
Dear Friends and Family -
As you may know, I have been deeply involved with Mile High 360, a Denver-based nonprofit working with children from underserved neighborhoods to become first-generation college graduates. Eric Eiteljorg, a friend of mine and Kiva tournament participant, is the Executive Director. Normally, I play in the fundraising squash tournament and ask friends and family to donate but this year I am just fundraising because I can't get the time away.
As we all know, access to quality educational resources - from school to enrichment resources - is neither universally accessible nor equitably distributed.
Every student, but particularly those with the fewest resources, faces challenges on the path from middle school to career and life success.
This is where Mile High 360 steps in:
Mile High 360 is a comprehensive, wrap-around services program designed to provide first-generation college-bound students with after-school, weekend, and summer access to essential out-of-school resources in four core areas.
- Academic Assistance: Study skills support, tutoring, literacy enrichment, SAT prep, college visits, and an array of college preparation support;
- Health & Wellness Programs: Mental health support, drug and alcohol prevention, human development classes, cycling coaching, nutritional instruction, and cooking classes;
- Life Skills Experiences: Community service, summer travel, financial health classes, internships, resume building, and job support;
- Mentoring: Trained volunteer mentors are paired with students to help normalize postsecondary enrollment, set goals, and increase students' social capital.
Mile High 360 programming complements school-based learning by mobilizing and organizing essential out-of-school-time resources to address a child's social, emotional, and academic needs.

Everyone Has Time for a Bike Race!
As part of our Health and Wellness program, all student ride bikes to improve their health. Some choose to take it a step farther and compete. This summer 30 MH360 members raced in the Steamboat Gravel Grinder.
