I am raising funds to support the work Junior Achievement is doing in our community - Inspiring and educating students to own their economic success.  The work we do at JA to connect students to opportunities is critical and helps to show them what is possible. 

Every day we work to ensure students in Osceola, Orange, Seminole and Volusia County understand career paths, financial literacy and learn about entrepreunship.  

This race is special to me as a good friend from high school, Jason Chepenik (One Digital) created this event and it is now a JA event around the nation!  When I started at JA he gifted us the trademark to keep this going in our community and I am excited about this event that is taking place during the SUMMER SOLSTICE!  

Having been a foster care parent for a few years, I have seen firsthand how important it is for young people to see what their future COULD be. So many students have no point of reference on career opportunities. I had a few teens that thought that theft and drugs were their only option for a future, once they saw a different way they were motivated to do better.  We need your help to show a future to more young people.
