Trinity United Methodist Church has a long history of partnering with Aurora. When I heard about Pastor Kaitlin's experience I knew I wanted to get involved with Aurora in some way. Since Kaitlin is moving soon I wanted to keep the connection and partnership with Trinity and Aurora going strong. It is important that we continue to bring awareness to the homelessness in the tri-state area.

Aurora is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the homeless and near homeless in the Greater Evansville, IN area. Each year, it serves over 400 individuals: men, women, children and seniors.

48 Hours in the Life: The Homeless Experience Project is an Aurora event which aims to raise awareness towards the struggles individuals face when experiencing homelessness. This project is also a fundraiser for all of the programs that Aurora offers to help the men, women, children, and seniors who experience homelessness in our community. During this event, individuals from our community will give up their everyday lives and spend 48 hours on the streets and in shelters.
