"Becoming more empathic to the plight of those without permanent housing is one of the main reasons I am participating in this experience. The more we can understand about our fellow humans, the better off we will be as a society. My hope is to use this experience to do what I can to improve the situation for those who are often overlooked or ignored."

Aurora is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the homeless and near homeless in the Greater Evansville, IN area. Each year, it serves over 350 individuals: men, women, children, seniors, those with disabilities, and the re-entry population. 

The Homeless Experience Project is Aurora’s new fundraiser and awareness event and its purpose is to bring a greater understanding of the struggles the families and individuals face when homeless in our community. If you'd like to support Aurora, please donate to my fundraising page!
