I’m running and raising money for CAIR Coalition and UndocuBlack because Black immigrants are being harmed disproportionately by our immigration system. Black immigrants face anti-Black racism while going through the immigration process and after making the US their home. They face high rates of denials for asylum, higher rates of deportations, and sometimes harsher punishments at detention centers for organizing and speaking out. As an undocumented immigrant myself and as someone who has organized with detained immigrants, I know how important it is that we organize and support each other to create the world we deserve. CAIR Coalition and the UndocuBlack Network are building the world we deserve by specifically centering and supporting Black immigrants. We won’t be free until all of us our free.
