Sonya has served as an adjunct professor at Trinity International University and in the not-for-profit social services arena, mental health treatment (both outpatient and residential), substance abuse prevention, and the field of education working with all age ranges from infant to adult.
Sonya has earned her Master of Arts/Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University and is a Certified Addiction Prevention Professional.
Sonya is the Executive Director of A Season of Comfort, Inc., a non-profit agency which focuses on “teaching life skills for effective living”. She is a national speaker, addressing audiences in church, business, and private settings. In her spare time she enjoys reading, fishing, and event planning.
Sonya has been married to her husband, Howard, for 21 years. She is a mother of 4 adult children and grandmother of 6 with her seventh on the way.
