About RMHC-OKC

Ronald McDonald House Charities Oklahoma City keeps families with sick or injured children together and close to the medical care and resources they need, when they need it most.

Our programs offer hope.

We believe that nothing should keep a family from being at their hospitalized child’s bedside. They should not have to worry about where they will get their next meal, or where they will sleep at night. It costs $75.00 to house a family for one night, but our programs are provided at no charge.

And that’s why we walk.

Walk for Kids is a fun, family friendly event that raises funds and awareness for families served by RMHC-OKC through teams of walkers. And this year it will be virtual. The activity is real, but you can participate for any distance and from anywhere you choose. Our families come from across the state and now you can participate from your community - in your neighborhood or favorite local walking spot. You pick where, who you walk with, and when. Just remember to be safe and practice social distancing along the way.

Become a Walk for Kids Team Captain Today!

Are you Ready to Offer Hope to  Families with Hospitalized Children?

When you register, choose Fundraising Participant and create your team.  Lead the way to help families from all across Oklahoma by giving them the best medicine - each other.

Create a unique team name and use your personal fundraising page to recruit family, friends and co-workers; track your team's progress and send customizable emails to help you reach your fundraising goal.

You will be emailed a template for your "Why I Walk" race bibs. Team members can honor a child, parent or anyone of their choosing.

And you can earn cool prizes!

Team Captains who raise the following

by June 20 receive:

$150 - a complimentary Walk for Kids T-shirt (Provide T-shirt size upon registration)

$350+ - all previous incentives plus your team name listed on the Official Walk for Kids T-shirt

Most Money Raised by a Team Captain - $100 gift card

Post a pic on Facebook sporting your bib, tag us @RMHCOKC and be entered in a drawing to win a $50 gift card!

Every walker will receive a Walk for Kids bib template to complete and show the world "Why I Walk". 

You can honor a family member or  friend, or show some love for someone who has inspired you.
