Basic Event Information - Saturday, May 6, 9 a.m. Start
Register - You have a number of options in signing up for this year's Paws on Palafox.
Register and secure a bandana and tee shirt - This option is simple and straight forward. Pay $25 and be registered for the event. You will need to give us your shirt size.
Register as an individual fund raiser - Those individuals that opt to help the Humane Society raise funds are eligible to receive the bandana and tee shirt (raise $25), bandana, tee shirt and hat (raise $50) and earn recognition for the year on the Pensacola Humane Society web site for raising $100 of more.
Register as the organizer of a Pack - This allows you to invite others to join your Pack / Team. The team goal is authomatically set for $250. The system doesn't allow us to lower this goal. Our hope is as more people try to involve their network in the event, the more word of mouth advertising is created,
Each person that organizes a Pack will receive a gift from our Activity Sponsor, Cordova Bowling Center.
Register as a member of a Pack - You are part of a group that is helping to raise funds for the Humane Society. A number of prize offerings have been developed to reward those groups meeting or exceeding their goal. Each team member will be encouraged to establish a personal fund raising page The fund raising goal has been set at $50 per person and $250 per team.
Register, and secure the bandana and tee shirt as part of the registration - This option is similar to last year. The bandana and the tee shirt are provided as part of the $25 registration fee.
I want extra shirts or bandana's - If you want to secure an extra shirt or two, this is easy to do through our Store Front. Complete the registration process and you will be taken to this part of the web site.
Course Lay-out - You'll start along the beautiful downtown waterfront and make your way past large ships docked at the Port of Pensacola. Once into Historic Village under shady oak trees, you'll wander past the park and stroll down the heart of downtown along vibrant Palafox Street. All ages will enjoy the scenic route and fun photo ops along the way!
Interested in a Shorter Walk? - A shorter route, only 1 mile, has been established for those wanting to limit their walk. the map has been added to the site.
Band Performing - The John Hart Band is playing both before and after the walk. The group is easy to listen to and will be a great addition to the event. Plan to stick around after the event and spend some time with those that attend.PetPawtography by Diana Bunch will be on-site to take photos of your special pet. Diana is a noted photographer in the Shelter world. She donates part of her proceeds in every project.
