Hiker registration is $40/person (13 years of age and older) and $15/child (ages 4-12). Children 3 and under are free.
Hikers are encouraged to leverage their participation to raise support and awareness for Blue Sky’s mission. Details on how to engage in personal fundraising, as well as the resources to do so, are available during event registration.
Each hike starts and ends at the Virginia War Memorial (621 S. Belvidere St, Richmond, VA), denoted with a 'P' on each map.
Trails and parks featured: The North Bank Trail, The Buttermilk Trail, Forest Hill Park, The Pipeline, the Tyler Potterfield Bridge, the Floodwall Walk, Dogwood Dell, Belle Isle and more!
Let’s hit the trails! Join us at Hike for Kids on October 28th to benefit Blue Sky Fund. Each distance will feature some of the best urban hiking in the country, right here in Richmond, VA. Whether it’s your first time, or your hundredth time, the James River Park system offers unforgettable views of the river with a variety of terrain. There is no better way to experience the crisp autumn air and foliage than to hike for a good cause.
Challenge yourself with our family-friendly 3 mile loop, 8 mile, or 14 mile loop that will start and end at the Virginia War Memorial. Your participation will help ensure outdoor enrichment opportunities for urban youth from Richmond!
Tickets are $40 and include food, beer (for those over 21), and an event t-shirt.
