The YMCA Impact
How is the Y making an impact?
More than 700 children received after school care with homework help and healthy snacks.
285 children received a subsidy last year for high quality child care after school so their parents could work.
2,204 Senior members have been able to stay healthy, be active, and make friends.
More than 3,000 families were able to receive financial assistance to participate in Y membership and programs, which give them the tools to lead a healthier lifestyle.
Our Y has implemented the YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program, helping 464 people (and counting) with prediabetes reduce their risk for type 2 diabetes.
Our Y is preparing to offer a Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program.
Together, We're Transforming Lives
Every day, the Greater Kingsport Family YMCA gives our community the support it needs to learn, grow and thrive. From advocacy to Afterschool care, chronic disease prevention to Camp, personal exercise to group classes, everything we do helps to strengthen our neighborhood and the people who live here.
But keeping Kingsport great is a full-time job. Every day,
our community faces new challenges that create a greater need for the work we do. And we need your help to do it. Your gift can help Kingsport and everyone in it shine.
Do you have a Y story? Please consider giving to make sure everyone can have a Y story of their own.
For a better you. For a better community. For a better country. For a Better Us!
