Parking is first come, first serve at Ripley House, and it will fill up quickly. Overflow parking is available across the street from Ripley House at Living Designs Furniture, 4615 Navigation Blvd, Houston, TX 77011.

The Golden Boot Award

The Golden Boot is awarded each year to the team that can bring out the most participants to the Walk for the Woods Project. It is a prestigious award which shows your team's commitment to our program and to improving the lives of our students. Last year's Golden Boot award winner was IberiaBank and you can find the boot proudly displayed in the lobby of their Houston office.

The Route

Start/Finish Line Location: Ripley House Neighborhood Center 
Address: 4410 Navigation Houston, Texas 77011

Schedule: Site opens at 8:00 am, Walk begins at 9:00 a.m.      
Length: Estimated 3 miles
Where: Scenic route that winds through East End neighborhood and along beautiful Buffalo Bayou
What: Learn more about The Woods Project alumni and hear inspiring stories of transformative from their summer trips

The event will be fun for the whole family with plenty of family friendly activities and entertainment happening during and after the walk. However, please be advised that due to local restrictions, glass containers, any animals including dogs, roller skates, skateboards, or bikes are not allowed at the event. Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the Bayou Trail. 
Walk for The Woods Project is rain or shine. If cancellation does take place due to severe weather conditions, registration fees will be considered a tax-deductible donation to The Woods Project and will be used to support our programming.
