Hot Dog! I finished!
The Seniors First Turkey Trot began in 1989 with less than 200 runners in downtown Orlando. Now, 29 years later, it has become one of the oldest and largest 5k fun runs in the city boasting an average of 5,000 runners and hundreds more lining the race route to cheer them on.
Last year's event drew participants from 35 states and four different countries all united in a race to support Meals on Wheels and more. This year's Turkey Trot promises to be even bigger!
Each year runners from around the country visit Orlando for the Thanksgiving holiday and join family and friends bright and early downtown at Lake Eola in a race to support
MEALS ON WHEELS
and other Seniors First programs that help our commumity's most at risk senior citizens.
