JA Bowl-A-Thon FAQs

HOW DO I SIGN UP TO BOWL?

Please click the Register Now button at the bottom of the screen and follow the prompts. Make sure your Team Captains registers first.

IS THERE A REGISTRATION FEE?

The fee is $30 per person for all companies bowling at one of the AMF, Brunswick Zone, and Bowlero bowling alleys. For companies bowling at Lucky Strike or Punch Bowl, there is a $15 per person managament fee in addition to the cost of the alley. This fee goes toward the cost of unlimited bowling for 2½ hours, ball and shoe rental, and pizza. Check with your Company Coordinator to determine if the fee is paid by your company.

HOW MUCH MONEY DO I NEED TO RAISE?

Each bowler should strive to raise or give a minimum of $150. You can find fun, easy fundraising ideas by clicking the Group and Individual Fundraising Ideas button above.

DO I HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO BOWL?

Skill is not required! Join us for a good time and help Colorado students prepare for their future.

HOW MANY GAMES DO I BOWL?

As many as you can fit into 2 1/2  hours. It is important to start and stop on time, but you can bowl as many games as you like in the allotted time.

CAN I HAVE MORE THAN 5 BOWLERS PER TEAM?

We encourage five bowlers per team so that each person can bowl as much as possible, but you may have up to seven teammates.

MUST I HAVE ALL OF MY TEAM MEMBERS’ NAMES?

Yes. All team members register online at www.JABowlAThon.org.

WHAT DOES MY DONATION SUPPORT?

Your gift allows JA to provide vital programs in financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship to students at no cost in schools from Douglas County, CO to Southern Wyoming.  $750 is the cost of a program for an elementary school classroom — so if every bowler on your team raises $150 your team can provide a JA Program to an entire class.

CAN I PLEDGE MONEY BUT NOT BOWL?

Absolutely! You can come watch the fun and/or support your company or a particular bowler online at www.JABowlAThon.org.

WHEN IS THE REGISTRATION FEE DUE?

Fees are due within two weeks of your scheduled event. If you need an invoice, contact Blake Meikle at BMeikle@JAColorado.org.

WHEN ARE CASH & CHECKS DUE?

Your Team Captain will collect your cash and checks at the beginning of your bowling shift and turn them into JA staff.

WHAT IF I RECEIVE MONEY AFTER THE JA BOWL-A-THON?

We gladly accept money raised after the JA Bowl-A-Thon. Please visit your personal fundraising page to add donations. OR you may forward cash/checks to either your company coordinator or directly to Junior Achievement at 1445 Market Street, Suite 200, Denver, CO 80202 to the attention of Blake Meikle. If you send in cash/checks, make sure to designate what bowler the donation should go to and the company they work for.

CAN I USE MY COMPANY’S MATCHING FUND PROGRAM?

YES! Fill out the form, supplied by your company coordinator or go online and turn it in with your pledges on bowling day so that it will be counted toward your prizes!

IS FOOD PROVIDED?

One large pizza will be provided for each team.

ARE DRINKS PROVIDED?

NO.

IS MY PLEDGE TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Pledges raised for the JA Bowl-A-Thon are 100% tax deductible.
