First, congratulations and THANK YOU for signing on to be your company’s Bowl-A-Thon coordinator! You are now a part of an inspiring group of individuals committed to making the 2018/19 Bowl-A-Thon (BAT) a huge success. Together, we will raise over a million dollars this year to support JA programing and, ultimately, help students to own their future economic success. We have a big job ahead of us but I know we can do it!
There are two crucial steps to a successful with BAT: 1. Start early! As you’ll see in the coordinator timeline, you want to kick off your planning TEN WEEKS before your bowling event. At ten weeks your event will seem far away, but, raising money takes time AND … 2. Persistence! As they say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Most people have good intentions and simply need gentle reminders and motivation throughout the fundraising process. As the leader of your company, it will be your job to encourage and prompt your team captains!
Just as you are your company’s leader, I will be yours! I am here to be your sounding board for fun ideas, your resource library for fundraising suggestions and be your support network if things aren’t going as planned. We are in this together and I will be there to encourage and assist you every step of the way!
