Please join us for our 7th Annual 5K Walk for Smith-Magenis Syndrome (SMS) to raise awareness and funding for research for this rare disorder!

9:15 - Check-in and receive t-shirts

10:00 - Opening remarks

10:15 - Start walking!

Adult registration - $40 ($30 before Oct 15)

Child registration - $15 ($10 before Oct 15)

Registration includes a t-shirt, lunch, & water.

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: Register before Oct 15 and receive $10 off an adult registration and $5 off a child registration.

PLEASE NOTE: T-shirts will not be guaranteed for registrations made after October 25th.

For participants who register as a team leader and recruit new attendees or raise money, you will automatically be entered to win a $100 CASH prize drawing!

About Us

We are Susan and Paul Diamond. Our 13 year-old son, Jeremy, was born with Smith-Magenis Syndrome (SMS), which occurs in 1 out of 25,000 births. Living with this disorder presents severe challenges with sleep, development, and behavior. There are only a few SMS researchers around the world, and there are no viable treatment options yet.

The SMS Research Foundation (SMSRF), however, is making significant progress toward a gene therapy treatment. In partnership with Baylor College of Medicine and Sanofi Pharmaceuticals, gene therapy could either replace the most critical missing gene, or improve its expression, and improve the quality of life for those living with this disorder.
