8th Annual Ride/Walk for Children to benefit PCRC
Ride it. Walk it. Save a life.
BHcare's PCRC saves lives by passionately caring for children and families. Join us on June 9 to raise critical funds.
This year’s walk is in honor of Wade Michael Prajer. A loving son, brother, nephew, grandson and friend, Wade’s life was tragically cut short at the age of 22. While nothing will ever replace the light Wade brought to his community, PCRC will honor his life while raising awareness and resources to provide help and restore hope to others in crisis.
You Can Strengthen Families
Feeling overwhelmed by their sons' bad behavior, Maria and Alfonso turned to PCRC's Parenting Support Services program. Maria said, "Our home became a safer and calmer place to live, and we are able to enjoy fun-filled family times with our boys."
You Can Build Confidence
Andrew was isolated at school, he cried a lot, was wetting his pants, and struggled to make friends. With PCRC's support, he now has a few close friends, is building his self-esteem and is improving both at school and at home.
You Can Save a Child
While only 14, Dennis was experimenting with a dangerous combinations of drugs, alcohol and supplements. Thanks to PCRC's Today's Choices program, he's learned healthy ways to manage stress and emotions, and is now leading a substance-free life.
You Can Create A Brighter Future
Jocelyn's mom struggled with addiction but managed to get clean while she was pregnant. Her counselors knew she would benefit from extra support once the baby was born. Thanks to PCRC's Child First in-home program, Jocelyn's mom is maintaining her sobriety and Jocelyn is a thriving 18 month old child.

Supporting Children, Mile by Mile
Once again, the Parent Child Resource Center (PCRC) will partner with Haynes Development for the 8th Annual Ride/Walk for Children to benefit the PCRC!
The Parent Child Resource Center, a division of BHcare, is a state-licensed child guidance clinic serving children and families throughout the Lower Naugatuck Valley and beyond for over 40 years. PCRC provides innovative mental health services, prevention and early intervention programs for more than 1,000 children and families every year.
All of our programs offered by PCRC rely heavily on giving and community support. By raising funds, riding or walking, you'll be contributing to helping us provide life-saving services to children and families in times of crisis.
