About Strides 4 CJD

Strides for CJD is an annual walk/run to raise awareness of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare neurodegenerative disease that has no treatment or cure.

Register or donate to this event to pay tribute to loved ones and show support for friends and families affected by CJD. 

Money raised for the CJD Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, will provide family support, medical education and research programs.

How much is registration?

  • Adults - Early bird registration is $30.00 until midnight on September 12.  After midnight the cost will be $35.00.
  • Children 12 and under - Early bird registration is $20.00 until midnight on September 12.  After midnight the cost will be $25.00.
    Each registration includes 5 raffle tickets. Extra raffle tickets can be purchased during the registration process. 

General Information:

  • 2-mile walk/fun run with T-Shirts for Participants
  • Post-Walk Celebration and Raffle
  • Strollers (there is a playground) and Friendly, Leashed Pets are allowed

Schedule of Events

  • 9:00 am: Check-In
  • 10:00 am: Walk
  • 11:00 am: Post-Walk Celebration, Food Truck, Raffle, Refreshments and Conversation
  • 11:45 am: Raffle Closes, Raffle Winners Announced (you must be present to win)

Directions

From the East (Hwy 64 / I-170)

Take I-64 W/US-40 W, I-170 N toward Airport (Exit 31A), continue to Forest Park Pkwy (Exit 1E), turn Left onto S Brentwood Blvd, turn left at the 1st cross street onto Shaw Park Dr.  The location will be on your right, there is parking on Shaw Park Dr.  You can walk up the path to the South Shelter where the event will be taking Place. 

From the West (I-70 / I-170)

Take I-70E, continue to I-170 S (Exit 238A), continue to Forest Park Pkwy (Exit 1E), turn Left onto S. Brentwood Blvd, turn Left at the 1st cross street onto Shaw Park Dr.  The location will be on your right, there is parking on Shaw Park Dr.  You can walk up the path to the South Shelter where the event will be taking Place. 

From the West (I-64/US-40)

Take I-64 E, use the right 2 lanes to exit onto I-170 N (Exit 31A-31B), Continue to Forest Park Pkwy (Exit 1E), turn Left onto S. Brentwood Blvd, turn Left at the 1st cross street onto Shaw Park Dr.  The location will be on your right, there is parking on Shaw Park Dr.  You can walk up the path to the South Shelter where the event will be taking Place.
