Welcome to my Michigan Apple Blossoms fundraising page!

We are representing the Michigan Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired (MCBVI) an affiliate of the American Council of the Blind (ACB)!

This is the second year MCBVI is participating in the ACB Brenda Dillon Memorial Walk. Taking place on July 2, 2022. This is a fundraiser which will benefit both MCBVI and ACB. Fifty percent of the funds we raise will go to ACB and the other will go to MCBVI!

The funds we raise will be put towards our scholarship program. Where we hope to be able to offer scholarships to college students who are blind and visually impaired within Michigan.

I joined MCBVI in 2010 at the coaxing of some of my friends. I did not know what would be in store for me, but I have learned so much from being a part of this organization!

I have learned advocating skills, how to be a leader, and much more! Each year I learn new skills, which allow me to contribute to an array of areas within MCBVI.

Continuing the Michigan Apple Blossoms team for our affiliate is one way I can try and give something back to an organization that has given me so much in return!

Thanks to many members within MCBVI who took a chance on me and saw the potential I did not know was there, I am an active and vital member of MCBVI. I hold a variety of positions and continue to learn and grow in my advocacy for issues of concern to those within the blind and visually impaired communities.

More importantly are the friendships and support I have received over the years, and I hope I have been supportive in return!

I am excited to be working on this fundraiser and I appreciate any donation made no amount is too small. Please share my fundraising page with family and friends who may want to support our efforts.
