My personal experiance with Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement is an organization I strongly believe in. I have chaperoned field trips for both my kids to Junior Achievement Biz Town, which they attend in 5th grade and also the new Junior Achievement Finance Park, which they attend in 7th or 8th grade. They are both wonderful learning opportunities for the kids. At Biz Town they are assigned a job at a business, (and AAA is a business storefront there), you are given a “paycheck” and have to go to the bank, etc. Very interactive. At Finance Park the students are assigned a specific job and life circumstances ( you have a job as a marketing rep and your salary is 37,000, you have a spouse and 1 kid). The students then learn about loans, mortgages, etc. They have to balance a budget using the income provided. They have to make choices for transportation, housing , etc. Again, a very interactive, educational experience. I have also taught Junior Achievement classes to middle school students which was also a very rewarding, enriching experience. Please consider supporting Junior Achievement in one way or another.
