I’m thrilled to be participating in Adoption Angel Lock In, a fundraiser supporting Humane Society of Northeast Georgia!
My husband and I set out on a mission in August to help our neighborhood. We were seeing an increasingly large number of cats and kittens, including several ending up in our yard where we would capture them and work to rehome them. After some collaboration with neighbors, we set out on a large TNR project. This led to capturing the five kittens featured on my page. They are 5 of 12 that are now in foster care across our neighbors and HSNEGA. Joe and our neighbor have also trapped, neutered and released 23 adult cats. We have two more culdesacs to go, and anticipate close to 50 cats and kittens will receive TNR or end up in foster care at the end of this project. When you assist with boots-on-the ground projects like this, you recognize that most people are good and just need help. Being a good neighbor will continue to be our top priority.
These efforts would not be possible without the complete support of the Hall County Animal Services and Best Friends Animal Society community cat program, along with amazing support from the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia foster program.
