About The Ride

Ride the Milwaukee River with Wisconsin Athletes to help raise funds for AE Cares! This annual fundraiser helps AE Cares mission to support initiatives like Maydm and the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

When to arrive:

We recommend arriving at Juneau Park (900 N Prospect Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202) 1 hour before the ride begins so you have ample time to find your way to the start line. The 20.5-mile (roundtrip) ride to Brown Deer Park starts promptly at 10:00am, and the 11.5 Mile (roundtrip) ride to Estabrook Park starts at 10:30am.

What to bring:

This is a fully-supported ride, and we'll have a team of friendly folks on site to help with any of your ride-day needs.

As far as fueling goes, we recommend starting your day with a hearty breakfast.  During the ride, you can expect water and porta pottys at the checkpoints.  This event is rain or shine so dress appropriately and wear a Helmut.

This year's routes:

Riders of all ages and skill can choose one of 2 Routes of the beautiful scenic Oak Leaf Trail. Enjoy the lush forests along the Milwaukee River. Both routes start at Juneau Park.

Route 1 is a smooth and flat 11.5 Mile roundtrip ride to Estabrook Park.  Estabrook Park hosts a beautiful waterfall and you can get a beverage at the 50-year-old German beer garden.

For those that wish for a longer ride - Route 2 follows the Oak Leaf trail to Estabrook and continues to Brown Deer Park for a 20.5 Mile roundtrip ride.

I have a pretty large family, including just in the year 2021 our family on my Mom’s side adding 8 more to the family with me & my cousins having 8 kids during the year. Last Christmas was a little hectic.

I’ve had the chance to meet my two childhood heroes – Brett Favre and Derek Jeter

I grew up on only eating cereal and popcorn for the first ~14 years of my life. Fortunately became less picky as the years went on…
